VibroSens Technical Background
VibroSens is a complex system consisting of an AI-based central cloud service, data loggers and complex vibration sensors. The VibroSens system is able to learn the vibration profiles generated during normal operation of any sensor-equipped machine and is able to continuously monitor the deviation of the engine vibration data from the learned profile.

What is the IT infrastructure behind our VibroSens cloud service?
The IT infrastructure behind the VibroSens service provides very high availability, reliability, flexibility and dynamic load balancing, meeting the most stringent operational security and access protection requirements.

What parameters does the VibroSens system measure?
Each sensor unit of the VibroSens system contains 5 different sensors. So each sensor unit on the engine transmits the same 5 measured parameters to the data warehouse in the private cloud.
The sensor units of the VibroSens system measure the following 5 parameters:
-
- Vx – X axis velocity
- Ax – X axis acceleration
- Vz – Z axis velocity
- Az – Z axis acceleration
- T – Temperature
- Vx – X axis velocity

What equipment do we recommend VibroSens for monitoring?
VibroSens complex system is recommended for monitoring the following machines and equipment:
-
-
- Motors
- Pumps
- Exhaust fans
- HVAC
- Compressors
- Gearboxes
- Spindles
- Any rotating equipment
-
Technological conclusions are based on the information content of the observed vibration data. RMS speed data can be used to infer the general condition of the machines. High frequency RMS acceleration data can be used to infer early bearing wear of machines.

How often do the sensor units measure the parameters?
Each sensor unit in the VibroSens system continuously measures the parameters of motors and equipment and performs first-level processing of the raw sensor data on site. Gateway units collect the sensor data and transmit the measured data to the central data warehouse every 5 minutes. The VibroSens AI analysis system takes the measured values from the data warehouse and performs a sophisticated evaluation. Accordingly, the charts show 5-minute readings with a delay of one or two minutes.
This sampling and processing schedule is sufficient for timely evaluation and alarming in 99.6% of the rotating motors in the industrial sector.

How and what will I be notified by VibroSens?
The VibroSens system is able to send Email and SMS notifications up to three persons to be notified. It is recommended that these three persons are the plant operations manager and two maintenance colleagues. This allows the maintenance colleagues to respond quickly. Our customers subscribing to SMB and Enterprise packages have the possibility to set up a separate 3 person notification team for each production hall.
The following email notifications groups can be set:
-
- Machine learning of all equipment has started
- Machine learning of all equipment completed
- Warning! Intervention may be necessary
- Alert! Immediate intervention recommended
- No measurement data arriving in the data warehouse
- Machine learning of all equipment has started
